Recitals in this season ticket series feature three masterpieces of oratorio, three unquestionable, unparalleled achievements of our civilization, during which Haydn’s work evokes the creation of the world, Händel’s oratorio outlines the Old Testament struggle for freedom of the Jewish people, and Bach’s Matthew Passion is the story of the suffering and redemption of Christ. Concert soloists include the finest Hungarian and international artists of oratorio singing like Julian Orlishausen and Bernhard Berchtold, who returns to Budapest as an Evangelist.
