Haydneum Concerts at the Liszt Academy

2026

The Liszt Academy is the natural home of the Haydneum’s festive concerts. Its distinguished Grand Hall lends a special sense of dignity to large-scale oratorio performances: in this year’s Advent season, György Vashegyi and his ensembles offer musical reflection for the anticipation of Christmas with Bach cantatas. The Solti Hall simultaneously radiates the elevated atmosphere of a concert venue while, thanks to its acoustics, creating an intimate and immediate setting. In this closeness, Chopin songs, as well as chamber works by Mendelssohn, Kalkbrenner, and Brahms, are performed by distinguished Polish, Japanese, and Hungarian artists.
