Explorations of works by French, German and Italian Baroque composers: that’s what the four concerts of the festival offer in four prestigious venues in Budapest. The instrumental music will be provided by Thibault Noally and Les Accents, Lucie Horsch and Justin Taylor, while the vocal works will be performed by the ensemble A Nocte Temporis, led by Reinoud Van Mechelen, and – on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the concert by the 92-year-old organist-conductor Lajos Rovátkay, who lives in Hanover – by the bastions of Hungarian early music: the Purcell Choir and the Orfeo Orchestra.
