The venues and genres are equally diverse: our program includes chamber music evenings, oratorio performances, opera, orchestral concerts, and educational events. Whether you choose an intimate fortepiano recital or a grand concert at the Liszt Academy, you are guaranteed an exceptional musical experience.
The finest artists of the domestic and international early music scene will take the stage—soloists, ensembles, and world-renowned conductors alike. We will enjoy the virtuosic keyboard performances of Andreas Staier, Yury Martynov, and Marcin Swiatkiewicz, while our Fortepiano Subscription will also feature Hungarian talents in chamber productions: Balog József will perform with Paulik László and Börzsönyi Máté, Berecz Mihály will be partnered by Szutrély Katalin, and Somlai Petra will appear with the Ensemble Variabile.
In the Zeneakadémia Grand Hall, alongside our resident ensembles, the Purcell Choir and the Orfeo Orchestra led by György Vashegyi, the exceptional Helsinki Baroque Orchestra under Aapo Häkkinen will perform. A host of vocal stars will also grace our grand concerts: representing Hungarian early music singers are Balogh Eszter, Cserményi Zsombor, Komáromi Márton, Megyesi Zoltán, Melkovics Zoltán, and Thurnay Viola, while our guest soloists include Elisabeth Breuer, Neal Davies, James Gilchrist, Patrick Grahl, Valentina Inzko-Fink, Robin Johannsen, Matthias Liener, Joanne Lunn, Tim Mead, Ella Smith, and Johannes Weisser. The acclaimed Bart Van Reyn will conduct Handel’s Messiah in May.
This year, Ádám Bősze returns to Lóvasút, where in his unique lecture series he will present the world of Eszterháza—naturally, through Haydn’s perspective.
We warmly look forward to welcoming you to our performances! Tickets and subscriptions are available online and at the usual box offices.
