Program helyszíne

One of the premier string quartets of historically informed performance technique, the leading ensemble Salomon String Quartet (founded: 1982) offer the festival audience three important Haydn quartets from the master’s mature and late period. Founding member Simon Standage and fellow musicians play one of the string quartets named after Johann Tost, the great violinist of the Esterházy ensemble, as well as the cream of the quartets dedicated to Count József Erdődy, Knight of the Golden Fleece; the composition earned the nickname ‘Sunrise’ after its opening motif.
