The festival audience can look forward to a concertante opera performance and musical stroll, as well as a fortepiano recital and a series of string quartets in the magnificent princely seat where over many years Haydn served the aristocratic family. In the stylish and historically authentic setting of Eszterháza, in addition to Haydn’s works, compositions worthy of discovery by several 18th century minor masters are performed in concerts. Festival performance artists include the greats of early music and Ádám Bősze, the star of entertaining music history education.
