Over the past decade, Gy\u00f6rgy Vashegyi and his ensembles have performed numerous works by Francesco Bartolomeo Conti. Handel even borrowed motifs from his operas, and Bach held his sacred compositions in high regard, making an autograph copy of Conti\u2019s Missa brevis<\/em>. Conti\u2019s oratorio David<\/em> was first performed on March 30, 1724, in Vienna. The contemporary world premiere of his Missa con trombe<\/em> took place in 2024, also performed by Vashegyi and his ensembles.
